Frt Coil Rates W/snowplow Pkg

Is there a difference in frt coil spring rates between trucks with a snowplow pkg and those without one? Thanks

The only difference I could see in the 04 online build site was that it included a bigger alternator. 160 amps if memory serves.

The coils with the plow prep are a different part number, I do not remember the details but if you do a search you should be able to find it.

Not sure of the third gens but the 2nd gens did have different springs for the plow package. I may be wrong on the numbers here but I think the non plow group second gens had like 36/39 springs and the plow group had 47/48 springs. There should be a tag on the spring at least mine did that state what number it is.

The 160 amp alternator is only for the Hemi, why I have no idea. There is a difference in the springs. Actually only one spring I believe. Its been expalined here before. The passenger side spring without the snow plow option is moved to the drivers side with the option and spring on the passenger side is then upgraded.
