Hostetter:

I had a poppin noise from front left when turning and going over alow spot at the same time. My front end man (supposed to be the best around) said it was a dodge truck thing and not to worry. I said align it and stop the noise whatever it is. he did and said no problems with front. This in 2000 and noise is back again.

Will be watching to see what you come up with.

As I recall my brother had similar problems on his '92'

It turned out to be the cab mounts ( I think)

There was also one other issue as well, but I just can't recall at the moment.

I'll be seeing him this weekend and will ask him.

My 91 makes a noise when the wheels are at the stop in either direction going over any bumps.

It is the stop tang on the spindle hitting on the tail end of the coil spring.

Jleonard:

I think you nailed it. I didn't get the "coil spring" connection but when I got under the vehicle I could see where the spindle stop tang was rubbing against the strut extension . It extends about 3 in. past the lower control arm. A little heavy grease should help.

Thanks: Bob

I have the same problem , but is a4x4. The left front has what I would call a pretty bad klunk. Ihave replaced abuot everything and it's still there. I put a motorcycle on a rack on the front end and there is much less of a klunk. Any ideas?

Thanks Mike
