I guess this is kind of a rant, but I haven't been able to find any SRW 4x4 CC 5 sp trucks AT ALL. Anyone hiding a stash of them???

Keyword is nice... Mine has the seat falling through the floor/missing rockers option. I'd like a solid LE w/ captains chairs.

O. K. , now I gotcha' Love those factory "captains" chairs with the armrests and the big ol console... if only they made the darn drink holders a bit more useful. Might be a future project. I'll see if I can get a new pic or two later on today, time to go nite nite.

Uhmm, if you want one of those, you better have about $10,000 at the least and start bidding on EBAY. Thats were they are all at. Either that or start looking for a 2wd gasser from the south, and then do a swap on your current chassis. There is a really sweet 91-93 2wd extended cab, SHORTBED gasser around here I've been keeping my eyes on... ... ...

I might know of one around here. Just talked to a guy yesterday said he might sell exactly what you described. I'll send you a pm.

I'm sure I drove by your house around Christmas while I was in Chicago. We used to live in Roselle just down the road on Sunnyside across from the school and went through the neighborhood to look at the old house. I saw a couple of Dodges and when I did a double take I think I saw a TDR sticker on one.

You've got to be kidding me. Yeah, that's my house, right across from the Church on Foster. You should have stopped by!

Stopped by? Girlfriend wouldn't understand. :-laf We were just finishing up our 1000 mile/14 hr trip @ 11:30 am from Denver on our way to Libertyville.

Yep, on Foster. Have you been there long? I don't recall seeing any Diesels on that street when I was there.

I lived on Acacia before that for 4 years, just moved to the house I'm in 9/05. I grew up in Wood Dale, went to Lake Park though. Funny, my girlfriends parents live in Lake Bluff, right next to Libertyville.

Why dont you just fix the one you have? It wont cost as much as you may think, and you know what you have in this one. I did that in my 91, and except for having the extended cab now, I kinda wish I'd kept it and put the money that went into the 92 into the 91. Coulda had a really nice truck for the $2500 I put in the 92. By the time you buy a "new" one, fix its mechanical problems (injectors, steering, tires, brakes, other misc stuff), not tomention cosmetic stuff, it adds up quickly.

Things always cost more to fix up then you first anticipate. I agree that any first gen usually needs brake and steering linkage work, along w/ pump tweaking and fixing all the usual broken stuff, but in my truck's case, I need to swap the cab, which I already have. The problem is a place to do it, I really don't want to do it on my driveway, and my garage is not big enough to do it in. I'd also like an LE w/ the captains chairs and console, and power options. You gotta figure time is worth something too. If I don't find anything suitable soon I probably will swap the cab and the rest of the body, the drivetrain on my truck is mint, I think this truck got used as a car most of its life.
