FS-2500 Bypass Filters??

Does anyone have an opinion on the FS-2500 Bypass Filters? I have the video and one filter, and the video is very impressive and the filter looks good, but I'd like to know if there is any problems out there with it. I am debating getting a couple more. Amsoil is good, but these may be better.

I like mine so far. Very neat install looks good oil seems to be clean, have a dark tint to it but clean none the less. I am getting ready to install one for my trans as well. My best friend owns a construction company and has them on two 6. 0 ferds two 7. 3's his bobcats and the fords for some reason stay clear as honey for 10K or better. Mine does blow alot of smoke though.

Thanks for the opinion. I'm curious why I don't see more people installing them, and more info/ads when doing an internet search. They seem to be a very good, professional filter. Very well built, with an oil sample port. I guess I don't want to buy too many, then find it was a fly by night company that I can no longer get cartridges for.

What is the FS-2500? Is it a spin on element type bypass or more like the Frantz style?



I recently ordered the Fleetguard bypass setup using the LF777 element. I will need to get hoses and a mount bracket done up but expect to have under $70 all said and done including a filter element. The LF777 filter is large and costs $15.

No its not toilet paper. Its a tightly woven fiber filter. They focus more on over the road applications and construction equipment but have recently moved to light duty truck applications. I feel that if so many trucking companies are using them than its good enough for me. As far as price PM me and i can let you know.

Its definately not fly by night. They have been in the trucking industry for around 10 years I believe, I have met the owner and gotten to know some of the engineers, trust me they are here to stay.

I was just talking to the owner yesterday, he has some very interesting stories to tell about CAT, warrenties, and one of his first and (at that time) biggest customers ($20 million/ year CAT purchases). I'm not sure if he would like the stories to be general knowlage, so call yourself, and at least get the video.

I ordered another one for the CTD, and a 6 pack of elements yesterday. They come complete with all hoses & fittings for any particular application.

I think more guys don't use them because they are expensive, and in my opinion, no better than a less expensive Oilguard which uses the same type of filters. Even less expensive than those are the Motorguard (TP) which filters better yet... !
