Howdy folks,
I'm preparing to install an fs2500 on my rig and was wondering...
Somewhere I read about routing the return through the oil cap. Is this being accomplished with a modified factory cap or is a special one available?
The kit I purchased came with a frame mount bracket placing the unit on the outside of the RH frame rail under the cab door. The only photo on fs's site shows an underhood mount at the left front of the engine. Was an engine mount bracket ever a production part or was this a custom part?
I'm trying not to drill 'n tap the valve cover if I can help it. I read the recent traffic about using a spare dipstick boss but I'd only feel comfy with a proven fitting there.
As for frame mounting, I live in snow country, and I believe that a protective cover/blast shield would be almost mandatory for a mount in that location.
I can fabricate this stuff but I'd like to keep downtime to a minimum.
Thanks for your thoughts/suggestions,
-V
