Gauge installers in CO?

It's official, the dyno day will be postponed. They won't be able to drive to the shop doors until next week. Any suggestions for a date to reschedule?

Paul at PFI, is very upset with the way the city has left him out of the loop about this project in his driveway. He also said that when we do have the dyno day, he will drop the price to $20 per truck. I think that's great on his part, especially since this whole deal is out of his hands and he wasn't told about it until they basically started.

I'll send PM's to everyone on my dyno list, if you guys could spread the word to anyone you know that was planning on coming I would appreciate it.

Also, as a sort of last resort get together, would anyone be interested meeting up somewhere like at a waffle house or even just a big parking lot. The weather is supposed to be great, maybe we can salvage some truck BS'ing.

Sorry,

Matt

Definately keep me posted. I wasn't going to be able to make it this weekend due to a work related trip to Texas. But If I'm in town on the next meet, I'll definately be there.

This is a definate bummer. Next week the HX50 goes back to PDR. Piers was looking for some feedback and asked me to try it and let him know whatIthought. For running around empty and drag racing this turbo is a real rush, the top end is incredible  :D  52lbs of boost. I was really looking forward to dynoing with it on my truck.

While towing the 5th wheel at altitude on a 5% grade I could not stay in 5th due to excessive egt's and had to down shift into 4th where I had no problems at all but I like to cruise in 5th gear at 70 mph and with the HX50 it just don't work for towing heavy in the mountains. On level Ground I had no problems at all with egt's.

Getting back on topic... . would some trench plates be of any help if there is a trench to cross? I could bring some with me. They measure 12"x24"x1/2" Steel plate.

I like the trench plate idea:D unfortunately I didn't get to see the situation today. Paul called me about noon and said there was no way we could do it. He's been great to work with on this deal and he wants us to be 100% happy with our event, he was even talking about stocking some injectors or boxes after he saw how much gain you can get for so cheap. Heck, they even have a 98 12 valve that one of them drives, it is totally stock but they want to crank it up now.

If you want to come down and show off that turbo, feel free. I know I would like to see it, and maybe Piers would reimburse you for the trip down seeing as how it's advertising;) You may end up putting it on jrandol's truck instead of sending it back:D

Hey I think you might have something here mgoncalves!! R. ebel I think Piers really was wanting you to have others besides yourself try that HX50 right? Really I think he did... :D

Matt- thanks for the heads up via PM.

I wonder, what kind of street barricade would keep a convoy of CTDs from going wherever they want to? I bet we could open the shop up for him!

I got a PM from Whitmore this morning, he couldn't make it any way either.

Couldn't we just park a ford in the hole and drive over the top of it?

I'm up for a reschedule, but summer's coming and I'll be busy on the trail horseback.

99% of us have a 4X4, and for that 1% we'll find a way. I have absolutely no problem with an alternate parking lot entrance. :D

Add me to your list on the re-schedule date, or if we thumb our noses at the construction and have our little dyno party!

Matt -

thanks for doing all the work to get this dyno day going, please put me on your PM list once you have rescheduled.

We have a backup plan for those wanting to meet up anyways. Thanks to R. ebel for the suggestion:D We will meet at the Budweiser brewery tour center parking lot tommorow morning at 9:30. We can wing it from there. The tour center opens at 10, you can take a tour and get free beer if you're hurting for one that early;)

See you guys there

Matt
