Ft. Lbs. to In. Lbs.?

Ok, I'll admit right off I'm not the brightest bulb in the bunch. Boost bolt install says 12 ft. lbs. My big torque wrench doesn't go that low and my smaller one is calibrated in in. lbs. So---does 12 ft. lbs. equate to 144 in. lbs. ?

Yup. You can also put an extension/reduction bar on your larger torque wrench that reduces its arm. If its a two foot long bar and you attach the bar so the bolt is in the center of the wrench at one foot, you divide your reading by 2. You can also put a spring scale at the end of any wrench. If your wrench is 8 inches, you would pull until it reads 18 inches. 8*18 is 144 in. lbs.
