Fuel additive in 2011

Is anyone using Diesel Kleen or any other additive in a 2011? Is it making any difference mileage wise? and are there any warantee issues with additives? I recently aquired a 2011 due to a class B son in-law deciding he was not happy anymore, anyway I still have my O1, with all the Banks suff, paid for with life time oil changes and lets just say there IS a difference in the fuel milage betewn the two.



The 2011 is the nicest pick up I have ever been in. My O1 pulls my camper fine, the 2011 pulls it way better. The power and the transmission are fantastic. Thanks for any input, with work, elk season/deer season comming up, and grandsons I am a busy man. Paul

I run AMZ/OIL Cetane boost and fuel conditioner. I assume it works because I average 9. 5 mpg towing with 27,000# combined west coast towing. I think for the load that is pretty good with 15K on the clock.

Thanks for the reply about the Amz/oil. Anyone using anything else in a 2011 like Stanadyne? I think my truck is starting to get broken in. I have 9,000 on it and the fuel miliage seems a little better. My 01 used to seem so big, now compared to the 11 it seems like I am jumping into a sports car when I drive it. Must be the smaller steering wheel and being about a whole six inchs shorter. Thanks for your time, Paul

I like diesel kleen, was using standyne and had a sticky injector and did not fix it... so I went to wally world and bought diesel kleen and cleared up my problem... right away... . never had an issue again... . smells the same as standyne, but don't know if it is better or not... ... and I was using standyne prior to my injector problem... that is why i switched... . for fuel economy, i don't think they do anything at all..... so I always have a small bottle of diesel kleen in my truck for every fill up...

CLASS B SON IN-LAW: Not legally married, living together, couldn't or wouldn't hang in there. Not as good as the original? This statement maybe un-fair, it would have to be proven or dis-proven over time. KEEPING IN MIND THAT NO ONE IS TOTALLY USELESS, THEY CAN AT LEAST BE USED AS A BAD EXAMPLE.

My son in law was killed four years ago. (Daughter and grand kids 9, 7 & 5 did not go to counseling at the time)



New guy steps in the picture for three years. They had bought a new truck, at the end of 2011 in mar/apr 12. He decides he is not happy any more, he does not know why, he can't put his finger on it, He leaves, moves in to some other gals bed two days later. Now he can't afford the new truck.



Beside my daughter, my grandkids going to a tail spin. Why? Is it because of kids? Is it because of her? Why? They go to counseling. A lot of adult issues dealt with, death, leaving, and getting over it. They seem much better now, especially my daughter. She has a degree with a double major and now is working on a teaching degree and her masters. The boys have their hunter safety certifications. And my Granddaughter is shooting a pink and black bow



I remember my 9 yr old Grandson standing up at his Daddy's services crying, pausing to say “God I can not for give you right now for taking my Daddy…. . and crying.

I use Diesel Kleen in my 01 without issues seems like it makes it go zoom better. I was worried about potental issue the 2011, I guess I will give it a try and then mabe Amz Oil. Thanks for the reply. Paul

I used Stanadyne in my 2001 for 10 years 200,000 mi and for one and a half in my 2011 since new Had no internal repairs or issues

I have a 2011 2500, I use the XPD fuel additive, have used it since the first few tanks. Purchased on recommendation of the TDR review and others. Seems to work well. I do not have a comparison, use it each time I fill up.
