Competition Good News for Diesels!!!

Competition Lots of upgrades and no go!!!

nitro is a slow burning fuel that has a great deal of its own oxygen. The reason fuel cars make power is that the fuel burns and makes cylinder pressure all the way down to BDC . where as a pro stock motor only make power for a bout 15 to 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation. In a diesel it would be slow burning to the point assign power late in the power stroke, or it could just go off like a bomb.

Not to sure how much power they do or don't add, but I like to use the Amsoil line. They have the cetane booster, and the diesel fuel conditioners which I use regulaly. I have no proof that they add any power or help, but I haven't had a fuel related problem since new and i would like to keep it that way.

I use a Snow Performance Meth kit mixing at 80%alcohol, 20%distilled water. Works very well. I've also tried adding 8oz Nitro to 2qt of meth/water mix.

Haven't tried on the track yet, but on the street it'll break the rear loose (really loose!) when the boost hits 22 and the meth/nitro mix kicks in, even in OD with the converter locked up. Without the nitro i the mix it doesn't get loose in OD, but it will in third.

haven't yet done the dyno with nitro in the mix.
