Anybody have this problem?

I'm trying to turn up my fuel and am wrestling with the adj. screw on the rear of the fuel pump. Collar is gone and I've backed the lock nut to about 1/8" freeplay. Can't get the adj. screw to budge in either direction. The last thing I want to do is snap one of the little ears off, then get to pull the pump to fix my screw up.

Any suggestions... I'm all ears.

Thanks, Jones

No, it's not welded in. If it won't move, it's probably corroded quite bad. I'd suggest you get a good penetrating oil, like PB Blaster, soak it down a couple times a day for a few days.

If you can't get it to move, try putting 2 nuts on the end of the threads, lock them against each other, and try using them to rotate it. Remember, they are metric. The bolt is quite hard and will be slightly brittle. Easy to snap the end of it.

Hey Powerwagon,

The penetrating oil did the trick. Thanks for the tip on double-nutting it. Luckily it didn't take going that far.
