Fuel and Timing Box Info...finally!

Some of you may remember that about six months ago that I did a survey of box makers and was compling the results. (see this thread for info). Well I finally got it done. It is on the web here . The format is a little large (unless you have a huge screen but other than that all the info it there. I just wish a few more folks had responded.

Aw man JR I just got the Blue chip FMS running right (Box I had must have had an internal issue and the new one seems to be good #ad
)

I can vow for the + 120 H. P / 460 ftlb claim on 63% ( I think drag mode may be more but I don't have the nut to slap the pedal down on that setting but I have dabbled a bit with it) (Not dynoed yet) but infinate on the fly is great to have ..... Even running stealth smokeless. Once you have it on full on drag mode HANG ON!!!! Selectable EGT Defuel is handy and so is the Data recall feature.

I. E 1300 deg cutoff @ 44. 6 Lbs boost @ 3215 rpm was the best so far and I could feel the defuel cut back and maintain power evenly which is nice so you don't bark the turbo. You can customize parameters like EGT increments by the single digits or by 5 degree increments. As for boost . 5 increments or 5 as well. Both also can be acompanied with a bar graph. Yos also can see the fueling rate of the VP44 at any given moment as well. Install is wicked straightforward and simple.

I was kind of suprised that more compaines did not answer. I may try again this fall and then I can reference the sheet I have alread and maybe get some more interrest. Although looking on ebay the other day it seems that everyone is just rebadging the EZ and selling it. I saw boxes from superchips and something called an RPMsomthing box that looked just like an EZ. Anyway enjoy the info and I hope its useful.

Your research looks GREAT! I want to do the same thing but compare tourqe and horsepower curves.



TST dissapointed me. For that reason I may not end up buying the product they sell...
