I have a 01 2500 4x4 6spd when i first got the truck 2nd hand it had the stock lift pump installed my first mod was gauges i noticed my fuel pres. was 10psi @ idle and WOT was 0 psi so i then installed the FASS system and my fuel pres. was 15-17PSI at idle and 11-12 WOT . I then installed a full banks system turbo exhaust and programer . ran great good fuel pres. and 40lbs of boost now its 6 months later and i can only achieve 31lbs of boost and my fuel pres. does not change from idle or WOT and it use to smoke when i was on pedal but not much smoke now it does this on a cold or warm day and i also had my MAP sensor replaced would any one have any suggestions where i should start to look for my problem to get my truck to the way it was 6 months ago ?

cycle the key on and off three times fairly quickly. your truck ecm will read out any codes that you might have on the odomter. you can check them at www.troublecodes.net but my guess is your vp(injection pump) is starting to go due to the non existant fuel press you had at wot before you installed the fass. just my . 02

It does sound like a VP, BUT then again 40lb boost sounds really high for a stock Turbo. This could have damaged the head or something else. Hopefully some one with a little more turbo experience will chime in. Get the codes and let us know.

I had a simular problem with mine too... and it turned out to be a bad connections on the yellow tap wire and ground wire. Make sure your ground wire is attached to the negative post on the battery and not to the intake ground. Also, make sure your battery terminals are not corroded. During cold weather my trruck will hit 42 lbs of boost out of a stock turbo. I purchased a Banks Power Pack with a Big Hoss CPU. Been real pleased with it. In the 1/8 mile it will turn 10. 10 with stock injectors! Pulls great and no problems with overheating or EGT's.

41 lbs of boost is real high for a stock turbo. hy-35(auto) really shouldn't go over 31 psi and hx-35(manual) shouldn't go over 34psi. Any more than that your just pumping hot air into the engine because you are out of the efficency range of the turbo.

Yes it will boost more than that... I've heard of 50psi off a stock charger but I don't recomend it. Besides all that, you have a good chance of blowing your head gasket at 42psi or higher.
