I havd been running a fuel additive, but after reading about using 2 cycle oil its sounds like the way to go.

I read all the threads, but could not find our how many ounces to use per tank. 30 gallons? Marc had the same question.

I don't think there is a "recommended dosage". I would say you'd get the extra lubricity and still be more than safe with one of those little 2oz bottles.

Someone also said that they mix it 200:1.

I vote go and buy some Castor 927 (it smells good when it burns) and a Ratio Rite. You won't hurt anything if you pour a little too much in there.

im not sure on the dose but i don't think it will hurt if you put alot in it, i might be wrong but make sure you get the asheless, i know i read a thread way back on that and i cannot remember which member used it. . i think he might have had a 12V but don't quote me on that. . You could start a new post about : WHO USES ASHELESS 2 STROKE OIL IN THEIR TANK" or something to that affect that might get the members attention to post again, or you could ask Steve St. Laurent as he might know exactly where that post is at.

Castor 927! now you're pulling at my heart strings :D

I run Klotz in all my dirt bikes mixed 50:1 and using a 50/50 mix of Amoco (BP) ultimate and 110 octane race gas. There's nothing sweeter smelling :D

I'll agree with you on the Klotz in dirtbikes and such. And I've tried it in my 2002. But when it burns with the diesel fuel, it just smells like diesel exhaust. The bean oil burning with the diesel has a distinct smell. And its pretty good.

The only problem with Bean oil, is the stuff leaves major residue. I would not run in a diesel engine. . In a Dirt Bike,,, heck yes, easy to break down and clean... .

When I read the Owners Guide on my '95 and the new truck, it clearly states not to use any additives.

Yes, because they want to make money off selling you injectors and injection pumps.

I use 2 stroke oil at a ratio of 200/1. My rational is that if 100/1 is good enough to lube my 200 HP Var. oil inj. yamaha outboard, then 200/1 will be fine for my inj. pump. I use to use 300ml Power Service per 100 Liters of fuel as recommended or 600 ml Power service to 200 liters fuel. Put your left thumb and forefinger in a fuel additive and your right thumb and forefinger in 2 stroke ashless oil. Rub them together and make your own conclusions. In the winter I burn additive only.

Pls excuse the metrics, I'm from Canada... ... . EH?
