Turbo recommedations for 475+ HP

Hello all

What are the differences in fuel boxes (BullyDog, Edge EZ, etc) as far a model year is concerned??

Is it a difference of connector type only or a difference of connector and electronics/programing???

Merry Christmas!!

It's just the map sensor connection that is different.

If buying something used, just call the company and get the right adapter for the map sensor.

Welcome to the TDR! And Merry Christmas!

Thanks Torque This!

I was hoping that was the case. You hit the nail on the head, am looking at a used box.

Actually have been here since Aug01, my profile was deleted recently, then re-installed, without the updating the profile.

No reply when I questioned it being repaired.

Very professional!

I'm here for the laughs, friendship, and the info, not # of my posts.

Make sure the box you buy will work with your truck. I believe I read here that there are different map sensor voltages for different years. FWIW Good luck Phil:cool:

Torque This

In order, my preferences are: a True Torque, An EZ, everything else.

In this case it was a Bully Dog box, in the last few minutes of bidding the price went above my desired limit.

I'm patient or cheap!! either works for me.

Sixpack

That is exactly what I was concerned about, that the differences where more than just different plug types. I suspect that many folks have problem with that when buying used, either they are misinformed somehow, or they incorrectly assume that all 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gens are the same. costly mistake!

JJ

Six Pack is correct. The 98. 5 - 2000 trucks are the same, and use the same box.

2001's went to a different reference voltage from the MAP sensor and a different plug.

2002 is again a different plug, but the same reference voltage as a 2001... so with adapters, a 2001 box will work on a 2002, and vice versa.
