First off, the Btu rating’s I found on #2d was 141,800 btu’s, and a cetane number of 40 minimum.

Now I would like to know if anybody out their knows if there is a difference in the fuel BTU ratings and the cetane numbers about the fuel were burning right now, which is #2 LSD (500 ppm sulfer), the fuel that were going to be switching over to #2 ULSD (15 ppm sulfur), High Sulfur off road fuel, and the many different concentrations of bio diesel (B2-B100)?

I was also wondering if there is a difference in fuel economy between LSD, ULSD, and BIODIESEL?

I can only speak for the biodiesel fuel mileage. I've seen about a . 5 mpg decrease from the old #2 while towing. The truck wasn't able to get as high on the EGT's either. I was using B20. I've just switched to B99. 9 and I haven't used up a tank yet.

Chevron's website says that, due to the removal of more aromatics in ULSD, expect BTU content and fuel mileage to drop about 1% and cetane numbers to increase (it didn't say how much) as compared to LSD.
