The fuel lines on top of the tank canister are leaking (98 24 valve). Rust is the culprit even though the truck is driven little in winter and is stored in a well ventilated barn. I took the box off, as I want to clean up and paint the underside while doing the line repair. My problem is that I can't get the lines disconnected at the canister. One is totally frozen and disintegrated trying to remove it, the other will turn but not come out. And yes, I do know how to release the clips. So now what? I can't believe how bad this assy is rusted, even has a hole through the disk the lines go through. Provided I get the lines off, is there any fix available for the canister, or a method to patch the lines if the connectors can't be salvaged?

My problem is that I use this truck in my excavation business and can't be without it for long. I have searched fuel canister and fuel lines and have not found quite the info I am looking for.

Try THIS site.

Maybe just about the same $ or a little more to replace the factory fuel system and your injector pump will be :D.

OK, a big line kit - Vulcan - where can I get it? And thanks for the response.

I just recently installed the GFS-392 system (see link in sig) from Glacier Diesel Performance and due to all the putzing around I have done at the tank module prior to the install I developed a fuel leak from the tank module. Spoke with Rich @ GDP he suggested giving Erick @ Vulcan a call. The item in the link is what ill replace the leaky feed and return lines on the tank module for $50 and the time it takes to R & R the tank it's a cheap fix. I'm sure you'll agree the buel anodized billet pice Eric had made is way too pretty to hide on top of the tank, but such is life. Check my post - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163451 for updates. I plan on installing it the weekend after next. I'm willing to bet you are up against the same situation as me, cause your's is a 98. 5 and I'm a 99. Like Neil said "Rust never sleeps" - MHO.

Right after I asked about the Vulcan source I thought, duh, I never looked in the Gino's catalog. And there it was. However, decided to make a trip to the Dodge dealer to see what they had to say. And this is what they said. No, they did not have a module, although they sent out a warranty return last night that had the part on I needed. If they had a module, it would be well over $400, as the price went up, and even if I could buy it wholesale it would be $320. So, scratch that.

This is what I ended up doing: I stopped at NAPA and bought the elbows and some 5/16 and 3/8 fuel line. I cut out the center of the line assy that plugs into the module (it was all perforated too) and replaced it with a 1 1/4 inch freeze plug, drilled holes for the elbows and brazed it all together. It should last longer than the original. My only challenge now is to refasten the lines internal to the module to the elbows, which are shorter than the originals, and clamping them somehow. Maybe I can find a couple of the crimp type clamps. So far I've spent a little over $30. So far so good, thanks guys.
