has anyone used a fuel cell for an aux. tank?

I have been thinking about pulling the spare out from under the bed and replacing it with a fuel cell. Seems like Summit has about everything you would need to do this, I think.

So anyone have any thoughts on this? ideas? obvious problems that I missed :( like plumbing up a filler hose

Thanks for any info or thoughts you may have.

I have been thinking about adding a fuel cell in the spare tire well also. Rci makes the fuel cell I am considering. It is on page 51 of the latest Summit catalog. The Rci-1321C will hold 32 gallons and is 25” x 17” x 18” deep. This tank should just fit, with a couple of inches to spare, into the 33” tire well. Diesel fuel weighs about 7. 5 pounds/gallon, which is 240 pounds of fuel and would be great for winter traction.

The only thing stopping me is I would have to drill a 3” hole in the bed for the fuel cap and I am still debating that.
