You have never stated a single fact about fuel dilution... You go back and read it. . you are stating on your opinion that you can run extended drain intervals on a motor known to put fuel in the oil, because you don't think you have an issue. . and you may not, but the simple fact is that you don't know, and by telling others you go 10K on oil without an issue is false. You go 10K on oil becuase you don't think you have an issue.

Get the sand out of your granny panties and actually listen to what others have to say. . Your a well respected member here on the TDR and have lots of experiance and knowledge, but sometimes you get in an argument over the silliest things just to prove yourself correct when every time you do it you have ZERO facts, experience, or knowledge to back up your opinion.

Show me a FACT and you can have it. . until then just continue on with your blinders.

I am curious. Does anyone with a cab&chasis model have any sample data on fuel dilution of the oil. I've never seen any comparisons with pickup trucks. I would expect them to be different because they different duty cycles and therefore they different emissions requirements. I think AH is correct in that since the ECM adds fuel to the exhaust to raise the temperatures for a regen cycle, it has the potential to dilute the oil. There haven't been any reported issues, but knowing is always better than assuming.

If one of you guys have enough interest I'll be happy for you to come to my farmhouse someday and take an oil sample. You can send it off to the lab and satisfy your question. No charge.

I'll let you know some time when I'm over 9,000 miles on the oil and filter. Or even 9,800 miles, just before an oil change if you'll be ready to rent a car or hop on a plane.

Actually, the fact is that I'm not offering you an excuse for anything I do. I have no reason to. Frankly, what I do is none of your business and I don't care a whit what you think.

I simply stated a fact. I have had no indication of fuel dilution and perform my oil services at 10k miles because that is what I wish to do. It is my truck, my decision, and my responsibility if the engine wears out prematurely.

Who appointed you oil change supervisor?

Apparently Cummins and Dodge engineers were not sufficiently concerned about fuel dilution in the cab and chassis trucks to include the same programming as the pickups.

Did your mother ever suggest to you the old phrase, "mind your own business?"

I can't help but say again you are precious Harvey:-laf
