When I park my truck with the nose up hill for more than a couple of hours the truck will stall within a few seconds and then have a hard time restarting. There are no visual leaks and no signs of fuel loss at the pump (plenty of power and smoke :-laf ). Any thought on a direction to go? Thanks guys.

It sounds to me like you have a very small air leak somewhere. When my fuel lines were starting to leak, I only would notice it parked on an uphill or for a very long time. My guess is that it would be either your fuel lines or your fuel preheater that have probably started leaking air.

My truck also had starting problems facing up hill but facing down hill it started fine turned out to be fuel hoses were cracked.

Another member had same symptoms as mine but it was his lift pump.

A check valve in the lift pump mite of went.

Time to change the fuel supply/return line. Also, change the fuel preheater to lift pump soft line. Don't forget about the fuel preheater to lift pump soft line. My biggest problem on my 12V was the fuel preheater to lift pump soft line. I used Coast Guard approved diesel fuel line. Have the starter contacts been replaced yet? Replacing the the fuel lines above the transmission is easier if the starter and front driveline come out. Since the starter is already out it's only 5min extra to swap the contacts.

I've got the same problem. . Replaced the 3 rubber lines ( between engine & body) , lift pump , & lift pump hose. Cleaned preheat screen filter. Thought it was fixed until last night when parked with front end up, started right up than stalled. . Was hard to get started again. Any sugesstions??????

You might want to check your fuel pressure. A weak overflow valve could do that. If you have no or very little fuel pressure when you are trying to start it then it would be a good idea to check the OF valve.
