Greasing The "Hidden" Driveline Fitting

I have an '09 3500 MegaCab. I removed the box and had a custom flatbed built for it with a fuel fillneck in the side of the headache rack. They used iron pipe with a reducer elbow right after the fill cap. A big nozzle won't fit past the elbow and even with a small nozzle the neck won't take fuel at the slowest setting. I am thinking about fabricating a different fillneck for the bed ... . the custom bed maker has been less than helpful. I ordered a Fuel Fillneck kit from Transfer Flow for pickup box removal. I am looking for feedback from anyone who has tried that kit. When I get it I will post pics and my results

Seven or so years ago I bought a Transfer Flow aux tank and the TF accesory fuel filler neck kit. I had a camper shell on my '01 Ram and pulled a conventional travel trailer at the time.

I still have and use the original TF aux tank in the second replacement Ram since the first one and still use the fuel filler neck but not the decorative flange that fit the side of the camper shell.

TF's fuel filler neck kit is a high quality selection of parts that fit perfectly and work exactly as they should.

When I bought my current truck, a cab and chassis with rear mounted tank, I had the bed dealer cut a neat round hole in the bed surface of the flatbed in the left rear corner and route the fill neck straight up from the fuel tank through the bed. It works great and fills at moderate flow rate without kicking back. The fuel cap is recessed below the the bed surface so does not interfere with anything I haul on the bed.
