Dont we have a new fuel flter part number for our trucks now? Is it FS19598? It was previously the FS19528? Anyone know if this is all correct?

The Genos catalog shows that the fs19598 is for 97-99 models and it doesnt even show a fs19528 anywhere.

cheers, Kevin

Wasn't the 19528 filter for the cannister in pre ISB engines? When the ISB came out the filter was upgraded to a 2 micron filtering level and a new number, 19598, was applied. Same basic filter... different micron rating. At least thats what I thought I read somewhere. Thus, Fleetguard quit making the 19528 and the 19598 is applicable to all applications using this style (shape) of filter... including 97-98 P-Pump 12V trucks. Maybe I cant remember but thats what I thought I saw once.

Late model trucks (2nd gen ISB) used the 19579 top loading filter. The bottom loading, like a 99, uses the 19598 2 micron. The VP-44 required better filtering perhaps than the 12V P-Pump.

Thanks guys... ..... I have been buying them in bulk for so long I forgot what the part number was I was using. Then I remembered on here a couple of weeks ago someone mentioned that there was a new part number.
