Every 2nd oil change(15k), but it never seems that bad. Almost no sediment in the bottom of the canister. I'll probably start going longer unless I get a bad batch of #2.

Guess I'm the low man here, changed mine at 5000 and will change again at 10,000. Cheap insurance and a great way to smell some diesel (bonus in my book) while tinkering with the truck. I only put on about 12,000 a year and lot of that is short trips, 10 miles or less.

I change mine every other oil change (~7,000 miles). I put over 500 miles a week on my truck. I get the Geno's Garage 4-2-1 kit. I guess you guys that don't put more then 12,000 miles on your truck a year might want to change it every oil change.

C'mon you guys, mileage doesn't have anything to do with changing a fuel filter. Or an air filter. Either they filter or they don't.
I have 52000 miles on my truck and have changed the filter twice. If I had some of you guys 5000 mile throw aways, I'd never have to buy another one.
A pre-filter, post-filter pressure test on a new filter will give you a base reading and when it starts showing a loss post-filter. Change it.
It won't take you long to recoop the cost of a gauge at $15 a whack.

Change mine every 15,000. Whether it needs it or not. I have an aux tank and do it for piece of mind. I feel like that is cheaper than sucking some junk in the engine or pump, sometimes I get kinda low on a long trip. I have put 95 gallons in several times, carry 100 when full.

Changed mine at 9000 mainly because at 7000 miles i forgot to do it with the 2nd oil change. Filter was dirty and i will go back to the every 2nd oil change routine. As long as you don't let the Dodge boys do it then every other oil change is very cost effective.

I too use the schedule "B" for my girl. Yes it maybe overkill but a $15 filter to save a whole lot of head aches. To each his own.
But then again I changed my engine oil at 500 miles the first time and have been following Sch. "B" ever since. I plan on keeping this truck a long long time. I had a 99. 5 auto and traded for the 6 speed, glad I did.
Sorry so long
See Ya

I change mine at 10,000 miles. BTW, I drain the housing periodically and have yet to find any water.
