Howdy all.

I drained the fuel filter canister prior to changing the filter the other day, and noticed later that the drain valve was still dripping. Usually that just means that I need to flick the lever a couple of times to get a good seal, but it didn't seem to do the job this time; still have a slow drip (particularly while running).

Does anyone know the size and/or part number of the rubber O-ring in the drain? Or am I better off just replacing the entire drain valve? (I think Geno's has one for about $15).

Truck currently has just over 222,000 miles on it.

I replaced the entire assembly a couple years ago, mine did the same. I did look on dodgeparts.com but was unable to even locate the filter assembly, much less the o-ring...

i had a o ring assortment from harbor freight that had what i needed

My O-ring sets don't come from Harbour Freight, but are usually made in China, unfortunately..... it's fixed quite a few with the same problem... not to mention the hideous fuel heater leak in the top of the canister on the 98-99 trucks.

But $15 isn't much to spend..... problem there is the one's on Geno's is about 3 times that.... still not bad if you want to fix it and be done.... http://www.genosgarage.com/FUEL-FIL...LVE-97-99/productinfo/GG-9799DV/#.VPRoSZU5DIU

Wait, that's for the 97-99 models..... what year is yours?
