What size tubing have you been using to extend the fuel filter drain line? Also, what type of tubing is good, needing change filter on NY Day, and want to to the extension @ same time... Thanks, Scott

When I extended mine I used a plastic 1/2" barbXnpt fitting shoved into the end of the stock hose so that I can extend it when I drain it and then remove the extension after I'm done so that it does not hang down in sight. The only problem I've had with it is I keep forgetting where I put the extension after I'm done with it.

A three foot length of 5/8 inch heater hose will slip fit over the existing hose. I used a small hose clamp to hold it in place. I have the drain end of the extension zip tied up out of the way toward the front bumper. It works great. I got all this info from TDR issue 45 (Aug/Sept/Oct 2004) under "The Shade Tree" article on Fuel Filter Basics ,page 68 by Robert Patton.
