Change fuel filter element,07.5,2wheel drive dualie,6speed Automatic.Owners manuel prescribes that you remove the left front wheel and fender liner.Dealer has been replacing the element though I doubt that they follow this procedure.this will be my first attempt at changing the element on the 07.5,6.7ltr.there has to be a simpler way.I fail to see how I could wiggle and squeeze it in without contaminating the filter element.Your input will be much appreciated. Thanks,Frank

On my '08 I always pulled the wheel liner, it only takes a few minutes and I just couldn't reach up and get hold of the filter to remove it.

I think on the 2WD trucks you should be able to access the filter from underneath the truck. And you should be able to get the filter out with no issues.

The biggest issue when servicing from underneath is the front axle of the 4X4 trucks. I have been able to access the filter from underneath but you need to be a contortion artist with the 4X4 axle to get the filter out and you usually will spill some diesel fuel when servicing the filter; at least I have.
