I have the Fuel Filter cannister with the plastic top. For some reason I can not get it to seal and stop leaking. I have tried 3 new rubber O-rings soaking them in oil from a few minutes to a few weeks. I have tried tightening hand tight and then progressively tighter in small increments and still no luck. Anyone have any suggestions? I am at my wits end.

just a thought, i think if u soak them in oil or fuel the o-ring will swell. from my experience when they get any kind of oil or fuel on them before i get the lid tightened down it will always pop the o-ring out somewhere around the lid.

Well the first time I changed it out I didn't put oil on it because I didn't know any better. Since then I have always put oil on per instructions and it has always leaked. Next time I'll try without the oil.

Smokinram01 your right there is a TSB out for cracked caps. If I can find a part number for the cap I'll change that out as well.
