Problem after level kit install

I honestly don't know but I would guess it may be from the curing process. The end caps are fastened to the filter element with an epoxy resin and then go through an oven to cure the epoxy and permanently bond the end caps.
 
Thank you very much for all replies i have solved the problem i was facing the issue in a 24/7 towing service nyc truck and finally solved the problem thanks again.
 
is it glue from the filter assembly?


From what I know of filter manufacturing - which isn't much - an epoxy resin is used to bond the filter media to the end caps. The filter then goes through an oven to cure the resin. My guess, and its only a guess, you are seeing a slight discoloration of the resin from the curing process.
 
Funny, I wouldn't have given it a second look in the first place. Kinda like noticing that the exhaust has a little dark color to it.:rolleyes:
