Did the supplied.tube cutter need to rotate all the way around the fuel line for a clean cut? And was there room to do so. Did you put it on your 2012?

I had the kit installed by a local diesel repair shop. Had one issue. The Cat fuel filter galled the filter base, or anti seize was not put on the base threads. The shop replaced the filter base & filter at no cost. The shop recommended using a Luber Finer filter instead of the Cat filter. LFF 3347 is the Luber Finer filter number. It is a 4 micron rated filter. My mechanical skill are so-so, but felt having a qualified diesel mechanic do it was best.

You can also use a Fleetguard FF5320 in place of the Cat filter. FF5814 is an upgraded filter from the FF5320. The FF5814 is a Nanonet filter media, with a 2 micron rating. I would suggest that any one getting this kit, make sure you use anti-seize on the filter base threads, and maybe consider the Luber Finer or Fleetguard filter. A magnet will stick to the Luber Finer or Fleetguard metal threaded part. The magnet will NOT stick to the Cat filter. I found a thread somewhere about the metals on different filters not being compatible with some fuel bases.

I have this kit on my truck.

Since the galled filter base was replaced, zero issues. The tubing cutter is small. When I was allowed back to see how the install was going, looked like the fuel line has been pulled out from the frame rail a bit. The mechanic who did the work said, getting the coating off the fuel line was about the hardest part. Hope this is helpful. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

FF5320 is a 5um filter and almost the lowest rated of any of the common 1-14" final fuel filters.

The FF5814 is the best at 4um (3um in some news releases). Both the Cat and Donaldson are similar but IMO the NanoNet media is the best.

Ok, a week late but I did my filter change today and the MANN filters work perfectly. A great option if you don't want to be stuck with the MOPAR ones. Perfect fit in every way.

I have an extra Mopar sensor as I do not like how it just sits out there and I have had it come off before (buried in sand at my buddies farm, just rotated off and dumped about half a tank of fuel before I realized what had happened) we unstuck the truck and noticed the fuel leak.

Yes - I have the Mopar SDFK and the sensor is in the "end cap" and screws right onto the MANN filter. No leaks so far.

Much less expensive than the Mopar ones to boot.

The sensor has held up, just been beat up a little, so I carry a spare just in case it fails. It just came unscrewed after burying the truck beyond its floor boards in covered loose sand and doing the push pull thing to get it out.
