Fuel Filter

Well its that time I'm thinking, the motor is starting to run a little funky (to my ear) anyways having never done a fuel filter change before and having an 800 mile road trip on Friday I think I need to do it. So before I did something that made it undrivable I wanted to know exactly how you all do it and if there is any tips/techniques for it. Looking at the FSM I think basically all you have to do is unplug the WIF sensor, unscrew it out, change over the tube/WIF housing and o-rings. Fill it with diesel and screw it back on. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks



Not sure if it matters but its a 93 5-spd 4x4.

You got it. If you dont want to fill the filter with diesel, you can use the primer pump on the side of the lift pump to fill it.

un bolt your braket with fuel control cable and set to side. makes alot easyer. 2 nuts and bolt underneith

unbolt ur cable control braket and set to side.

I fill my filters before essembly
