I purchased my 07 ram this summer and I took it back to the dealer for my free oil change they gave me when I purchased the truck. I asked about the fuel filter which I had figured they had replaced the filter when they serviced it before they sold it but they said according to there records the last time they installed a filter on the truck was at 65,000 miles. It is now at 109,00 miles. I sure hope the previouse owner did some of his own maintanence. I asked how much to change the filter while it was in getting the oil changed. They said they needed to look at it before giving me a price. After they finished the oil change they had already pulled it out side before they told me it had the old style filter and needed to be changed to the new style and it would be $120 to replace it. I noticed in Genos garage they offer a fuel filter and a fuel filter with a housing for the 07's. Do I need the one with the housing for my truck since it needs to be upgraded?

To answer your question yes you need the one with the housing. If you look at the one on the truck now you should see a 410 suffix on the number tag
