What should I use to seal threads? I'm adding a gauge in the engine compartment & I don't want to put the wrong stuff on.

I just use liquid teflon thread tape... says its good for 3,000 psi and safe for fuel. Just read the bottle if you are unsure.

i would reccomend a liquid type teflon, that is PTFE rated. this is the best for sealing out oils and fluids.

Do NOT use teflon tape. If any of it gets in the fuel system it will cause problems.

Keep it on the threads and do not let it get on the inside. If it spills out that much you are putting it on way too thick. You only need a little... and yes I use the liquid stuff and the bottle says its safe for fuel.

I bought Permatex high temp thread sealant which says "seals threaded metal fittings on fuel systems". Thanx guys!
