what is the stock fuel flow through the filter in a STOCK "600" truck?

im looking into fuel filters and think id like to try a few things, but dont want to go too small for flow requirements.

thanks.

I believe the stock flow is 440 mls per 10 sec. I believe that is correct, a Dodge mech. told me that. I have it written down in my truck. My truck is an 03, but the lift pump is the same.

In 2003 the spec was 38 gph. I doubt it's the same for the 600, but it shouldn't be any less than that.

lift pump output

Those figures above sound about right while at pressure.

I checked mine while working against no pressure. I drained the cannister and run

the drain line down into a calibrated container which held one liter. I used a stopwatch to measure the time while the lift pump was working. I would turn the key on , watch the fuel pressure gauge (also you can hear the pump working) and

click the stopwatch all at the same time. I would do this a number of times and

check for consistency.

I come up with an ave of 4. 338 liters/min=1. 145 gal/min=about 69 gal/hr.

The above posted figures show about 70% of what I come up with which sounds

reasonable when working against pressure.
