I have a 2000 Ram 2500 SLT, 4WD, CTD. My fuel gage suddenly stopped working. The low fuel light comes on and chimes when I start the engine and the gage shows empty. I just filled the tank and only had 40 miles on this tank of fuel when this happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Bjesik.

Go to your favorite Dodge dealer, plunk down about $37 for a new float assy, drive until you KNOW you are very low on fuel, drop the tank and replace the float... ... ... OR... ..... lift the bed up and fix it from the top. Not probably practical if you have a hitch or tool box in the bed. There is also a procedure to repair your float assy, and I'm sure someone has the link. You will still have to get it out of the tank though.
