I'm embarrassed to admit that I have run out of gas now three different times. I do okay if I go based on milage, but with the price of fuel going up, I put $30 or $40 buck in, and that kinda throws off my calculation. Anyway, seems that I run out and the gauge still shows about 1/4 of a tank. Where do I start? I'm assuming its the float, but I don't really know what else is back there in the tank. Will I have to replace the whole sending unit or is there a cheaper fix? Thanks.

my truck had that problem

we had it fix. we had to run it low on fuel and drop the tank picked up a sending unit from a junk yard

I keep a extra one up on a shelf in my closet

look on e bay

you don't want to know what the dealer/******* charges for that

good luck

and god bless us all:-laf
