On my 06 my fuel gauge will either show completely full or empty. I pulled bed off today and checked sending unit, connectors, etc. my ohms were between 20-200. with the unit out and plugged up, I moved it to act like tank was full- gauge showed empty, moved it to act like empty-showed full. if I moved the sending unit in the middle it would either go full or empty. After i fill up tank the gauge will show empty then slowly go to full. It stayed at empty for about 2 weeks and how has stayed on full for 2 weeks. Plse help, I cant find anyone who is having this problem.

Man, that's weird. I think my first instinct would be to replace the sending unit.

Did the resistance across the sending unit change from 20-200 as you moved it up/down?

Sounds to me like the problem isn't with the sending unit. There may be a problem with the gauge in the dash, as Brian suggested.

But I'm not sure how to service it.
