Fuel Gauge Problems

I have recently have a problem with my fuel level reading 1/4 full when I filled the tank. I have read on other posts that this happens when you top off the tank which I did. What they did not say is what resets it? The next refill, venting the tank by removing the fill cover. Just curious, mine is out of warrenty and never want to take it to a Dodge dealer again.

Some TDR menmers have had this same problem. On some the float gets stuck. Try taking a mallet and thumping on the bottom of the tank. Hope this helps. BTW I always top off my tank and have never had this happen.
