I have an Isspro fuel gauge that uses an isolator inline with it. In this way antifreeze is going into the cab. When I first installed it everything was fine. Now after mybe 30,000 mile the thing is rattling pretty bad. I'm sure it is pulses in the fuel system because it changes with how much go pedal you give it. Is there anyway to stop this?

Thanks,

Ben

When I installed my gauges, I put a needle valve just off the bottom of the filter canister, and run it pinched pretty tight. Its only open just enough to get a pressure reading. I've never had a vibration issue. Had it on for about 15K.

What kind of problems? When I first hooked mine up, I didn't get the topside of the isolator full of antifreeze and it wouldnt register any pressure. But when I got both it and the hose full it worked great.

I went with a liquid filled mechanical guage (Jegs) and a braided SS hose kit (Autometer). No valve. There is only very slight needle fluctuation, and this is a 0-15 psi guage. :)

I had problems with my isolator so I purchased a 300psi hydraulic hose and ran it direct to the gauge. No problems since.

I have an isolator and it wasn't properly bled when I installed it so its never accurate, unless it goes to zero.

Sometimes it'll read around 5 sometime it'll go up around 12, never fluctuates with the pedal though. I really need to pull it apart and fill the tube the rest of the way, hopefully this will cure the problem.

Hey guys, thanks for the info about the fuel system on our trucks, so I got an electric Westach gauge. I can not decide for sure where to hook it up, to get readings from. I will most likely avoid the Schraeder valve, so you can give me some ideas. Thanks.

I used a clamp to pinch the hose a little bit and the vibration has gone away. So now I will try to install a needle valve. I am having trouble to locate a needle valve that I am happy with. I am going to try E-bay.

I'm using a needle valve with my set-up, I can hear the pulsations (rattling). But my needle doesn't move, reads nice and smooth.

I hear a slight buzzing sound too, but not bad.

ILIANBG, I like the tapped banjo bolt for the connection method. Geno's has them for about $7 I think. This replaces the banjo bolt with the schraeder valve.
