I've been thinking about the FASS, AIRDOG replacement sytems. Neither one offered a viable heating system, the FASS needed coolant lines run back to the unit. So I started searching... and found this off-the wall web site by accident that has heater wraps for fuel filters. They even have the Racor 690 and 6120 units complete.

What was so off the wall about the web site? It, and another site I stumbled on, have kits to convert your diesel to grease! That's right grease. Used fry grease from restaurants.

A Cummins Turbo Greasel???

I was wondering if anyone made such a product. Looks like quite the outfit... plenty warm though (180*). Looks like they have a lot of goodies on their site, have to research it more later. I was wondering why someone hasn't came up with a kit with a small heating element to screw into one of the coolant openings on the fass, then fill the body with coolant. I know it wouldn't circulate, but it might be enough to help in cold weather. I am not to worried anyway, it was -10*F or less this winter here, never had any trouble, but I use the Stanadyne performance formula at every fill up.

These people seem pretty through. I've been following them for a while. I see they have updated their web sit & sadly are not recommending conversions with the VP44.

I think they call it bio-diesel many home made recipes on the web I think I read on another site ole willie nelson is selling bio diesel out west at a few stations. Nothing to strange  just make sure to filter the oil to get out the crunchies

Bio diesel is vegetable oil that has had the glycerides removed. The Greasel kits allow straight vegetable oil (SVO) to be used.

The dual fuel valve they have for sale looks like it migh be helpfull for guys that want to have an aux tank in the bed. The heaters seem a little strong, but for guys that have transfer tanks for equiment and stuff, that might be just the ticket for winter applications. Throw a little hot diesel into the tank of a skid steer to help de-gel.
