Hi all, I've been reading the posts for some time now and finally decided to become a TDR member. I have a 1997 Dodge 12 valve,2nd generation auto. I just got an awesome deal on a set of New BD injectors for I believe it's 40 or 45 hp. I also have a #10 fuel plate installed. The injectors were ordered special for someone and he never picked them up. They did not come with instructions or anything. My question is what is involved in installing the new injectors? Any special tools needed or precautions. Thanks for the help.

Do a little search on this topic. Lots of good info. Not a difficult job, take extra time on your first time doing the swap.

If you don't have the 'special tools', then what you need is patience and ingenuity. Patience to take your time and the ingenuity to figure out what you need to do.

IIRC, the first time I change my injectors, I used 'unapproved' tools, but got the injectors out in fine style, changed the sealing washers, and installed the new ones without a whole lot of effort. But it took time. The next few times I swapped them, it went much quicker.

As H says, a search ought to pick up a number of threads describing what needs to be done.
