What is the expected Injector Life and how do you know when they fail?

Not that I suspect a problem.

Has anybody built a list of common failure items linked to common mileage?

As I just experienced the 97,000 mile starter contactor issue and replaced just in time.

I trust you cleaned up the plunger contact disc - on the GM solenoids I've worked on, you could remove that disc, and turn it upside down for a new unused surface...

The original injectors were removed at about 8k miles in favor of RV275s. They're still in it and working fine at 366k.

My rig has just under 170k and its starting to haze at idle when cold. If its around 30 degrees out and hasn't been plugged it will lope like a big block for a few seconds. Buddy who owns a diesel shop says its a sign of the injectors starting to get tired. Who knows, I wouldn't mind some bigger injectors though.

I just replaced all 3 items for ~$33. 00, but still have the old parts. I will try to reverse the disc for a backup. Nice idea.
