Hi there, 03 one ton, 14,000 miles, I have loud knocking noise from the fuel injector pump. While at idle the engine is quiet like when I first bought the rig. When I put the automatic transmission in drive the knocking noise starts and is sound like a first generation engine. I have taken it in 3 times to two different Dodge dealers and all they do is check the computer and tell there is nothing wrong and everything is in specification. The only way I can eliminate the noise is by adding a quart of automatic transmission fluid to the fuel tank and this eliminates the noise and increase the fuel mileage from 13. 5 to 17. 1.
