This is regarding a '00 ext. cab dually with 158K miles. While driving down the road the truck just died. It will still crank, but idles real rough like it's not getting enough diesel. I don't have more details than this, but think it's the fuel injector pump that went out. I would appreciate ya'll's input.

1) See if you can get the codes out of it - do the 3-key twist method so the codes show up in the odometer display... . The newer trucks will usually spit out a code or ten if the injection pump took a nosedive...



2) Test fuel pressure if you can... it can't hurt to see where it's at...

The only code that came up was P1693. The fuel pressure line was cut :confused: but usually runs around 10 psi. Also, no check engine light came on when it happened.
