I have a 2000 Ram with 160k. I am looking to change out the fuel injectors with new ones but both Chilton and Haynes manuals say I need a fuel injector tube removal tool #8324, and Injector removal tool #8318. I called both Napa and the Dodge dealer and neither know of these tools. Does anyone know where to get them??

THanks

As noted above, you don't need these tools; see TDR Issue 51, p. 95. A flat-blade screwdriver will fit between the threads on the connector tube and can be used as a lever to pop it out. A flange headed M8 x 1. 25 thread bolt (like Cummins uses on the intake manifold) can be screwed into the top of the injector and a lever used to pull it; I use a brake adjuster “spoon” as the lever.

Exactly

Thats exactly how I did it a few months ago. Flat head screw driver to pop out the crossover tubes and a pair of bent nose needle nose pliers to pop em out. The ones in the back are kinda difficult to get to. A friend to help is always nice too.

I would DEFINITELY reccomend the 275 injectors. They are a very nice addition to the truck. Little bit of liftoff power and a little extra fuel milage (if you can keep your foot out of it).

There are small copper washers down toward to the injector tip which can stay in the bottom of the injector hole. A small screw driver and a little patience you can get them out easy. Always check the injector when you pull it out to see if the washer stayed on.
