Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel leak after VP44 install

Since the I replaced the VP44 there has been a fuel leak that I think is coming from the T in the return line at the back of the engine. I did not touch this when installing the VP but could I have broken a seal in there by moving the lines? Are there O wrings in there that could get crimped? It's wet on the motor by the T and down on the frame where the protective covering over the rigid fuel line ends. DW

Hard to say, but a lot can happen that is not expected after working in there . The fuel filter can be moved real easy by taking out the top 2 bolts (10mm?). If you just pull it out of the way towards the fender, you might get a better view of where the leak is. Fix it fast, fuel is expensive and you don't want it spraying on the electronic connections.

Removed filter

The fuel filter is no longer there, I removed it when I installed the FASS pump by the fuel tank. The fuel leak is not visible when the truck is running, but when it sits there is a fuel puddle under the truck. It is wet near the t and under the truck where the protective covering over the hard fuel line ends. The fuel is following the line down to this point. Took the T apart where the fuel line from the pump enters and found a rubber washer about 3/8" long in the fitting that was in two pieces. It' a strange type of compression fitting that I've never seen. Will see if Dodge has one. DW
