i'm considering buying another 93(d250,auto,3. 54 lsd, ccab). the truck is really clean 2nd owner with 229,000 miles. what worries me is a fuel leak at the injection pump- it leaks (good drip) right at the front by the gear housing. there is a line(metal) coming from what appears to be a solenoid visable on lh lower pump going up between the pump and gear housing and entering a banjo style bolt on top(not very visable). appears to be the line leaking. how hard is this to get and change. it probably won't stop me from buying but i'd like an idea of what i'm in for

D,

I have had a pump apart but I don't recall what was up with that fitting. You sure it's the line (or fitting) that's leaking and not the governor shaft screw just below that? I'd be interseted in knowing how to remove that fitting. It's not a banjo bolt fitting by the way. It's a holder for the by-pass valve.

i'm really not sure where it's coming from other than the front left side by the gear housing. it appears to drip off the line but it could be coming from further up-i'm looking for illustrations now so maybe i can point to it for ya'll in the know.
