Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel Lift Pump Recall is Official

My ISB engines now have a recall for the fuel lift pump.

The phone # posted in the lead post is a CUMMINS assistance #, and they have NO info on a pump recall as it affects Dodge owners, and gave the Dodge # to be called:



1-800-992-1997



THAT number got me (eventually) to a gentleman who looked up my particular '02, and came up with NO LP recall that applies to me and my truck.



He DID state that the recall notice ID # on the above would help him establish exacly which recall and associated vehicles are affected, IF that recall WAS initiated by DC.



Since the original post listed a number that went direct to Cummins, I suspect this is NOT a *Dodge* recall, but rather one that applies to busses and similar vehicles using the ISB - but it still is of interest, if it IS an upgrade worthy installing for those willing to pay for it as opposed to other aftermarket alternatives.
