Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel line at Tank

Hello,



I am replacing the sending unit in my 24V and I am curious as to how the fuel lines dis-connect from the tank unit itself. I am familiar with the style of connection but I am afraid of breaking the fitting thus requiring a trip to the dealer.



Do you pull up on the clip and out or push down on the clip and pull out?

Push in on the line, push both clamps in fully and evenly, pull off.

Thanks, got it fixed. Wound up buying Ford/Chrysler AC & Fuel line tool. It was still dificult due to the angled fittings.
