Are the fuel lines to and from the tank to engine on our gen 3's made of stainless or is it plain steel?

Has anyone used the Parker Ferulok tube to AN or JIC (37 degree) adapters to connect hose to the tubes? If so, I'm curious how well they anchor to the fuel line. Their instructions indicate 1-3/4 turns from finger tight to anchor the compression properly. Is that much really needed?

Thanks.

I am pretty sure they are ss-tubing cutters hate the line.I am sure it will take a bit of torque to get them to seal well

I put a dual filter set up on my 04. The fuel line was not hard to cut. The compression ferrules supplied with the kit do not leak and they were only tightened to a similar 1 1/4 additional turns from snug. My system pulls fuel from the tank so no pressure in the system. The only problem would be if you were trying to tighten on a bend were the tube had been deformed out of round.
