i've been noticing a lot of you talking about changing the fuel lines on your trucks and did'nt reaaly understand which lines or why you were changing them. but this week i started smelling fuel when i stepped up to the driver door, and when i got under it i found a leak on one of the two lines from the filter to the tank near the place where it goes thru a bracket at the bell housing. i can't tell exactly which line it is but i can tell that it does'nt seem to be coming from the rubber part. maybe it rubbed a hole from being on the bell housing. any ideas?
does the lines come in a replacement kit?

m. c. chaney, Where you see the metal lines attached to bell housing is where the rubber and metal line come together(actually about 1/8 of inch above that). The fuel can easily leak out of rubber hoses and run down them.
The factory hoses can't take the heat and soon crack causing fuel to be leaked or air to be sucked in.
Check out archives for removal/re-install also for better fuel line ideas. Many post on this subject.
Almost everyone agrees that have changed them out that it is PITA job. Good Luck.

boy! what a pain that was. wish i had a picture of myself in the position i had to use to reach that puppy. but hey, at least i won't have to smell that leaky fuel anymore. thanks for the info.
