I know that replacing the fuel lines has already been covered a bit, but when I did a search the results were not quite what I was looking for . The lessons learned is really what I am looking for. I will have access to a lift. For some things that will help. I was also wondering what he sizes of the hoses were. If you could please help. I am learning so much about these engines and dodges it is great. I am just not the most experienced guy in the world with this stuff. A friend of mine that works at a shop will be helping me in the process because we are going to do his 97 3500 after mine.

Thanks

Russ

God Bless

Russ;

It was recommended to use a marine fuel line they lasted longer, and was better material. Seams like 3/8 and 5/16 two feet of each if you are doing the stock replacement. It was suggested to go from the Banjo fitting on the pump down to the return line. would be easier to replace next time. This info is in here just takes a lot of reading and searching.

just my penny's worth.

Just done a search, Fosters truck has them as a kit ,OR--

Shields fire- ACOL- USCG type A1 sae J 1527/ISO 7840 5/16 I. D.

return, 3/8 I. D. for the supply line at most marine shops, or hose suppliers. look in the yellow pages for a location.

rnolen,

Go to the site below.

While you are at the site, check out the starter contacts. Have you done yours or have they been done?

Replacing the hoses is a real PITA but be sure to use the best materials available (marine grade which is thicker) so you won't have to be doing it again!!!

Have fun!
